Design is for the refurbishment and expansion of the existing history center.  Intent is to enhance existing museums facilities and double spaces for exhibitions and storage; while providing opportunity for additional community interaction and presence.  A history center is by default tied to the community it serves, with out the active presence of people within its vicinity, the  knowledge and stories that it holds will crumble and fade away into oblivion.  For this reason this new museum is conceived as an extension of the public mission plaza and as a venue for a variety of other community based actives, which compliments the already established programs of the history museum.
