Entry for the 8th annual Vellum/CAED furniture competition,  this chest is conceived as a dual function piece of furniture for both public and private use. The exterior cover serves as a simple ottoman seat, capable of sliding apart to the interior.  A  paneled cedar chest in which personal affects and items can be stored and saved.
