Century Museum

This Tohoku Earthquake Tsunami memorial is composed as the lasting memories of events that have transpired.  The intent is to create a modern memorial which will not become an outdated unrelatable artifact as time goes on.  This is done by housing a multitude of memorials within one shell and allowing the building to grow and morph to accommodate them.   These memorials each differ in what they portray, how they’re designed and how they occupy space, creating a collage of different experiences a visitor passes through before arriving at a particular memorial destination.  This creates a learning experience and allows the memorial to give back to those who visit it.
