This project is a proposal for John Kurtich salon. John Kurtich was an architect and a beloved professor at SAIC who passed away in 2004. The school wanted to make a salon under his name to tribute his soul. The salon is going to be located on 11th and 12th floor of an existing Sullivan building. It will consist a theater, library, cafeteria, student lounge, and the offices for five faculties. Since SAIC is one of the leading art schools in the country, I thought it will be fun to have a school as a palette that is mixed with bright colors. My inspiration came from Jackson Pollock who is well known for his unique style of drip painting.
