One week workshop on the renovation of an old pottery in a potter history museum in response to a request from the mayor of Digoin (France).
For this project, we focused on the management of natural light and the outdoor spaces. We work on the surrondings of the museum to facilitate the use by the tourists who will enjoy a stroll along the river Loire, walking or cycling.
We kept the iron structure of the building typical of the region but changed the global shape of the building in order to close the village square. We enrich the starting project program by proposing the setting of a digital façade to project films during summer evenings using the site as an open-air theater. The museum itself is conceived as a multi-level course allowing the visitor to discover the history of the city and potters along a continuous stroll.
