Design of a station in the suburb of Lyon (France) connecting the underground, railway, buses and cars while taking into account the constraints of civil engineering.
The design has been carried out in partnership with the engineering school of the “INSA de Lyon”. The complementarity between engineers and architects among each team gives a real will for realism (structural calculation, accurate thermal design, geotechnical study…).

We propose for this project a centralized traveler space for all transportation modes (underground, buses, railway and cars) above the subway station. A serie of arches supports the subway walls and the traveler space. A light canvas roof with double curvature protects the subway station from rain. The creation of a “park and ride” with a direct access to the traveler space encourages travelers to use soft-modes of transportation.
