The search for economy and the exploitation of the potentials of a site overlooking the ocean, yielded a design that shifts where the typical location of a terrace in the rear of the home would usually be, to the roof of it without sacrificing the visual field between guests in the living room and roof terrace; maximizing the panoramic experience of the view. The houses layout and window patterns are designed for maximum micro-ventilation according to activity, with the potential of macro-ventilation of the whole. The roof angles and orientations are catered for rainwater harvesting and yearly maximum solar recollection, as well as self shading capabilities of the facade.
