Assignment : Design an exhibit for the Danish Design Museum about Danish furniture designers. 

I decided to take a historical approach by creating a timeline that highlighted some of the most influential Danish furniture designers over the past century.  I wanted to create an experience for the viewer which really gives them a feel for the context in which this furniture would be found at the time of its production by including supplementary materials.  For instance, there would be a
portion of the exhibition dedicated to the fashions that arose during the 1930’s and how it related to the furniture of the time.

The exhibit design itself is based on the installation of a wooden structure that houses the objects.  As the timeline continues, the color of the wood changes in order to emphasize certain characteristics of the furniture.   The final room of the exhibit is entirely white with a multiuse piece of furniture that I have designed in order to give the viewer a chance to sit and reflect on the information which they just learned.
