Shanghail Urban Renewal is a block prototype that strives to preserve the traditional lilong housing typology to create a high density housing solution without disrupting the social interactions between the neighbors. This project also deals with sustainability with the design of passive solar systems, a water and air cleansing facade and program organization in a high density block.
