The Pavilion began as an exploration in material systems and site analysis. The aim was to develop a method of manipulating sheet material, in this case plywood sheets, in such a way to maintain structural integrity and assembly logic while providing for program and environmental demands. The Pavilion’s ambition was to create a dialogue between form, surface, structure and natural material properties.
