The Bellagio is a 3,000 room hotel with a large casino, resort spa, upscale retail shops, five star restaurants, a spectacular grand ballroom and conference center, an art gallery and a conservatory.
The $1.6 billion project was the crown jewel of the Las Vegas strip when it opened on October 15, 1998. It was designed by Atlandia Design, a Mirage Resort in house architecture design firm headed by Architect DeRyter Butelr. It was a joint venture with Marnell Corrao who did the construction documents and built the project.
I was part of the Atlandia Design team, involved in the project as a designer and space planner. Responsible for Design Development, coordination with hotel operations, review and coordination of all specification and Construction documents.
