This mixed-use project comprised of 87 apartments and 62,800 square feet of retail, sits within in a large Jewish Orthodox community. All the apartments occupying the upper levels are catered toward the community’s needs, with large residential units for emphasis on family, kitchens designed for kosher lifestyle. Each unit has a double height dining area, and all units look out onto one of four courtyards. The project also has community amenities, providing a small pocket park between the
apartments and new event hall. The 10,550 square feet event hall offers one large hall, dinning for approximately 450 people, and a smaller community meeting room.
Since, the East side of the building is adjacent to a heavily used street, a secondary skin is used as a screen to help provide privacy and noise mitigation. The screen uses a series of corrugated metal and perforated metal panels. The perforated panels are placed according to windows, to allow for natural light within the units.
