School project at RPI during the Spring 2009 semester.
The Design Development (DD) studio was geared to take an un-built proposal or competition project from an architecture firm and develop the concept through the DD phase. This included researching the firm, project, site, client, local codes and regulations and outside influences.
Our concept was the headquarters for Ribera del Duero wines by Estudio Barozzi Veiga. Their design images, models and drawings were used to construct our own solutions for the project. We were able to use their overall design and implement a level of detail to make the building work. This included designing the structural system, facade and enclosure, floor plan refinement, material selection and other details. We produced a project manual and a full set of DD drawings by the end of the semester.
This project was eventually realized by Estudio Barozzi Veiga (after our DD semester was over and we graduated college) and its now complete.
