The 7th & 10th Ward Yard is a new LEED certified office/garage building located on Chicago’s Southeast side. The Ward Yard was built with four wind turbines and solar panels to represent the city’s initiatives of creating sustainable architecture in Chicago. The landscape was designed to conceal the parking and increase the sight line for Harbor Drive. This building was completed in August of 2009.
I worked alongside the project manager all throughout this project. I made visits to the site insure quality work during construction. I worked on plenty of marketing / presentation boards for the client, the city of Chicago. I worked on site and in the office in helping design and execute this sustainable building.
