This thesis deals with the history of an ancient manor in the city of La Marsa, a northern suburb of Tunis, which also happens to be the house of my grandparents. The goal of the project is to highlight the house’s architectural features while integrating modern covinience. It incorporates a traditional house into a School of Music.
The Venice Charter states that “The valid contributions of all periods to the building of a monument must be respected”. In this building, I tried to enhance the value of the old building and contrast it with the modern additions.
