The joinery and combination of modules into a woven and unwoven state is the concept of first semester studio. The pieces and the combination of modules organized and supported by influences from fabric weaving and conditioning. The studio was an investigation into the formal and operative qualities of these modules that perform in a different manner than their true design intention. Wood construction being static and stiff to become soft and folded is the strange twist to inhabit architecture and sculpture. The supporting thesis applied to the formation and organization of modules comes from the adventerous tale of Odysseus and his trek home to his kingdom and wife, Penelope.
