In the current “trend” of eco-cities in China, rather than seeking ‘high-tech’ solutions that generate high costs for green design, we sought to incorporate as much ‘low-tech’ solutions as possible by maximaizing passive architecture design. Our project emphasizes and maximize natural lighting, natural ventilation, re-usage of local materials as well as preserving local culture, vegetation and biodiversity of the present site of Wanzhuang village.
