4Th-Year Comprehensive Project

This project is set in the bricktown district of oklahoma city, and is the comprehensive studio project. As a comprehensive project, the design went beyond simple aesthetic and function, extending into structural calculations, hvac design, sustainable design and final schematic development.

Students were asked to pick one space to focus on. The focus space of this building is the lobby. I chose to developed a custom canopy and lighting system to express the importance of the space. The lighting system, which is comprised of a series of leds, indicates an upcoming show time by gradually shifting color and spreading thoughout the space.
