Terminal One in JFK Airport. New York

The $450 million 650,000 sq. ft. facility is built for use by Air France, Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Luffthansa and is a two level structure with a partial third level accomodating airline clubs, and a central food court that provides sweeping views of the aircraft apron. WNB+A have created a dramatic and powerful architectural design. The sweeping roofline floats over a steel and glass armature, creating an image that is evocative of flight. The terminal has eleven gates, 90 check-in and service counters, ample circulation space, a large meeter-greeter hall and retail outlets.
