This complex is the grandest of the entire NYCT system as it is the system's largest in passenger volume and size. The rehabilitation design improved circulation and security; enhanced the overall visual quality of the station; upgraded subway connections between the IRT and BMT lines; improved visibility and access to the Times Square Shuttle; and improved overall use and access. This $100 million effort has also modifyd and improved the mezzanine and platform levels in the station, rebuilt and improved access of the street entrances, and involved the addition of five new elevators to provide transfer opportunities within the station in accordance with ADA regulations and guidelines.
