The Bulbous chair is a project that explores difference between soft and smooth expandable balloons to hard and heavy rocks. The project evolves as a result of the relationships between these two very opposite qualities which results in the compression of the balloons by the rocks thus gives the chair its formal qualities but keeps the balloons always in place. The compression of the balloons provides an added level of gradient to the whole composition of the chair. Thus, the chair is in equilibrium because of the cancelling out of upward forces by the rock and downward forces by the balloons.
