Taco Bell - Paddock Lake

At the time this project had begun, Taco Bell was transitioning to a new prototype design for new freestanding buildings. The brand was exploring the idea of an open-kitchen design not unlike their pedestrian-oriented Cantina stores.

However, halfway through the project, Taco Bell had decided that they would no longer be pursuing the open-kitchen concept. This meant that the originally approved design by the Village's Plan Commission would have to be re-reviewed.

Thankfully, Paddock Lake was understanding of the situation, and agreed that the building exterior design could be internally reviewed rather than going through a second public-hearing process with the Plan Commission. Eventually, approval from both the Village and the brand was obtained, and the building permit was released.
