The goal of this project was to deconstruct an existing piece of furniture and reconstruct it into a new form.

Found in the basement of a thrift store, this object was once an old decorative dining chair.  It was entirely deconstructed and all of it parts were then reassembled, eventually re-emerging into a personal catapult.  

Springs from beneath the seating make this a functional object.  The only addition to the already present materials are the brass push-pins, which were added to enhance the decorative nature of the final piece.
