My third year final project was to create a performing arts centre for the Plymouth University campus, in which students could use to learn and also perform for the public. The unit agenda was to enhance the experiential awareness of an environment and how this can effect everyday activities. Therefore the use of light through shadows and the change in materiality from the simple concrete through to the organic timber box gives a spiritual significance to the space of the theatre, transporting visitors from the everyday life. All drawings were completed by hand and the use of watercolours.
