I am very interested in working in an Architecture practice in America following the completion of my Master of Architecture degree at the University West of England in Bristol. I am currently completing my second and final year of the course and looking for full time permanent work in a practice that interests and excites me. Prior to this course I attained a 2:1 for BA(Hons) Architecture degree at Plymouth University, England and have spent a total of 15 months in various practices for my year out and during the summer breaks. I will be graduating during the summer of 2016 and looking to work from September/October 2016 onwards, however this can be negotiated.

Having already worked in practice previously, I gained great amounts of knowledge which has already helped me in many ways on continuing my Architecture course onto Masters. During my time in practice I worked on a large variety on projects, a range of scales/budgets and also completed many different tasks in the office from initial design sketches, writing Design and Access statements through to detailing. I have also spent a couple months over the summer in a practice which focused heavily on sustainable design, this greatly improved my knowledge in the subject in just a short space of time and interested me greatly, therefore leading me to choose the sustainability design unit for my final year of the course.

The CV attached demonstrates a range of my skills from hand sketches, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD and Photoshop in the examples of my work. My degree was heavily focused on hand drawings and renderings so most computer programmes I can use have been picked up by my own use and during my time in an Architecture practice. Revit is a crucial programme to learn with the rise of BIM in Architecture. It was not taught during my part 1, nor in practice, therefore I am currently attending lessons during my Masters in order to learn it so it can be added to my skills list when my degree finishes in the summer. I am a very hard working and a strong team player individual who takes direction well to deliver what was asked as efficiently as possible.
