The hands-on art center is a unconventional gallery complex which is designed to enhance art appreciation process through engaging the visitors’ into the creative processes, fostering dialogue among the art viewers and art makers. It is trying to break the negative image of galleries as clean, quiet and boring white boxes by creating a relaxing, interesting and fun gathering place for people.
The project includes studio spaces for art making, gallery spaces, a café and an outdoor garden. There are a wide range of activities which include painting, ceramic, craft making, virtual drawings and so on, combining and mixing with art exhibition spaces. The open and flexible environment allows unexpected connections among diverse activities.
