This is the design work for the Teaching Building of Sichuan University of Art and Science. The construction site is beside the main entrance of the School, with the axis of the School to the north, the outside road to the east, the campus ring road to the west and the stadium to the south. The west side of the area is about 13 feet higher than the east side.
To take the advantage of landform, there are two courtyards, different in elevation surrounded by buildings. Beside, the multiform ways of connection between the teaching building and the courtyards enables students to walk freely through the interior and outer spaces. 
Two overhead terraces are like a huge sightseeing platform in which one can have a panoramic view of mountains at a distance, and also a huge
stage when one looks back from outside of the building. All of these create various visual relations between mountains, buildings and people.
