The spatial layout approach developed with three main portions comprising the building; an apparatus room, a laboratory, and an angled office section.
The desire to play with light and form using structural members governed the design of the intersecting concrete structure. Natural light permeates the spaces to accentuate converging structural grids above the lobby and entry corridor. Perforated corten filters additional light to lab and breakout spaces to control light and reduce heat gain.
