A broad range of studies including multi-family dwellings, research centers, museums, libraries, urban design, and small-scale dwellings.
My architectural thesis was a multi-family dwelling located in Superior, Wisconsin on an abandoned taconite dock. The project explored ways of bringing adaptive qualities to the designed as governed by a personal/family need and environmental changes. The life-cycle of families fluctuates and changes over time, this inspired the design for dwellings that adapt to families with lightweight movable partition walls and additional modules above the main level. This design choice gives users the ability to take space they have and turn it into space they need based on individual or family need or desire.
