Like Monopoly pieces clustered together, this house is a collection of three distinct roof forms arranged around a central roof deck. The high-sloped roofs are clad in standing seam metal and create vaulted ceilings in the primary areas of the house (living, bedrooms, master). The vaulted ceilings make the interior feel expansive despite the relatively small house size (2,000 SF). Materials and detailing are minimal and windows are over-sized to play with perceived scale of the house. The end result is a modern take on the “beach shack”.
