My final thesis project was run under the supervised coordination of OSA partners K. Huneck and B. Truempler and Ricardo deOstos from Naja&deOstos in 2011-2012.
The subject studied was the city of Athens, a city which has seen dramatic changes over the last years due also to the economic recession. The main ambitions of this project are two: first the revival of the greek economy through simple and efficient ways, such as utilising the country’s ideal climatic conditions, and second to give a long lost value to the city’s historical center-which slowly but steadily is becoming a slum- and its public spaces. After recent riots which led to many buildings being burned especially in Panepistimiou and Stadiou str, the decision to occupy the street in a differrent way was taken.
