For the 14th Architecture Biennale in Venice, Cyprus presents its pavilion “Anatomy of the Wallpaper”, a creative and interactive approach to showcase and exhibit Nicosia’s built environment most famous stories. Each story is narrated through the superposition of layers of information (collages, newspapers, etc.), and is being revealed even more as days pass during this years Bienale. Visitors of the pavilion are equiped with cutters upon arrival, giving them the opportunity to reveal the stories as they wish, while at the same time interacting with the installation and creating their own real-time collages on a 1:1 scale. Visitors leave the exhibition space with their own souvenirs of the wallpaper, thus creating a never-ending state of change at the cypriot pavilion.
