I graduated from the Pratt Institute Graduate Architecture and Urban Design Program in May of 2013 with a Masters of Architecture and received my Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College with a major in Studio Art and a minor in Neuroscience in 2007.
After exposing myself to several different professional environments and working experiences, I have realized that what interests me most in architecture is what compelled me to study architecture in the very beginning: learning how buildings are designed and built to be structurally, environmentally, and contextually sound. While the more theatric aspects of architecture excite me as much as anyone, what really motivates my interest in architecture is learning about pressure equalization cavities, thermal breaks, and passive ventilation systems, and how they can be wielded to create an elegant and timeless building.
