I would like to offer my services as  intern. I am currently attending my last year of Architecture and Urbanism in college, at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, a university in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I possess 4 years of training in the field, and for the last 2 years I have worked in architecture projects for the main building companies in my city.

I will be in the United States from January 2014 up to July 2014, interested in working in a firm that could supply me with a broader knowledge on the field and in learning how architecture projects are developed and handled in another country.

It has been some time now that I feel interested in working for a firm abroad, since it was when I joined the workforce on the field – on my second year of college – that my interest for the profession truly sparkled. The experience of working with architecture and putting into practice the knowledge I acquired is what truly motivates me to one day become an architect. That is why I have been developing parallel projects to my freelance occupation with other architects, and even other building companies, where I manage to increase my general knowledge in the area.

The architecture firm that I have been working with for the last 4 years has provided me with great experiences. On my first year as a trainee, the workload was composed mostly of interior architecture, and my bosses taught me furniture detailing and layout development. After that, we started working more on houses, where I could develop my skills with renders and executive projects. Already for my third year there, the firm shifted its focus and we started working with construction companies, where I had access to projects with more elaborate programs and I could start working with larger constructions. Currently we have partnered with the Portuguese firm PLARQ, which is responsible for the architecture projects for Grêmio Foot-ball - Club with whom we developed the project for the Training Center and the Supporter’s Area, projects that have brought about a greater visibility for our firm. This development gave me the opportunity to experience architecture in several different fields, ranging from interior decoration all the way to the construction site of a football club.
