Patrick Tennant

West Hollywood, CA, US

Patrick is currently the head of the Interior Architecture Department of the Los Angeles-based  luxury custom residential architecture firm, Tim Barber Ltd. Architecture.  He handles all the design, presentation, and interior architectural documentation of the "permanent interior design" of all Tim Barber's projects providing the construction team with extensive construction drawings that include comprehensive schedules including plumbing, tile/stone, hardware, lighting etc... He specializes in kitchens, bathroom, wet areas, hardware, surfaces, lighting designs. Patrick works closely with the studio of architects to bring innovative "interior architectural" ideas to the overall designs as well.  He also is the lead project manager on some of Tim Barbers smaller more intimate architectural projects.  His skills range from Interior Architecture as well as Interior Design.  His skills include wonderful art as communication through beautiful hand rendered perspective and sketches as well as Auto Cad, Photo Shop, Excell, Design Manager, and typical office programs.

Some of Patrick's most recent works can be seen on Tim Barber House & Home where Patrick freelanced and brought the houses to life with interior perspectives which can be found at the end of each of the house profiles.

Patrick's passion for design range from residential design to hospitality and entertainment coming from a background in entertaining  audiences working in theatrical set design in his early career.

Patrick holds a Master's degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the Architecture & Interior Design Program at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).  He also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Boston University's College of Fine Arts and is an allied member of ASID Los Angeles.

Coming from a theatrical background Patrick believes that interiors, though static, should be fluid in their telling a story about the people that live, work, and play in them. In theatrical design you, as a storyteller, must be very versatile and execute the concepts well to make them successful. Versatility is one of Patrick’s strongest qualities as well as internalizing the desires and needs of the client and guiding them to achieve their optimal space.

Patrick is originally from the Southern California area but spent 9 years on the east coast training and then  working as a set designer and scenic artist/painter  under industry professionals with extensive credits on Broadway and regional houses.
