I am an architect by training and work experience, but was fortunate enough to be asked to become a college professor early on in my career. My teaching experience has been primarily in interior design, but of course I taught my classes with an architectural viewpoint. I am looking for a work situation that provides a comprehensive visonary and global perspective to design. I believe strongly inthe use of all forms of media for design from pencil sketching to the most photo-realistic computer renderings that technology provides. Regardless of how an idea is brought into the world, it is the uniqueness of human creativity with the goal of functional design that should be the focus of professional practice.
I have experience in design in all phases of the process - programming, schematics, design development, construction documentation, and project management. I have developed a high level proficiency in hand drafting, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Sketchup, but more importantly I have the ability to quickly adapt and learn any new technology as needed.
