About

I am a designer and educator returning to New York after having spent the past 2 years in India.  One year for a Fulbright scholarship and one year for further research and work.  The Fulbright - Nehru Research Scholarship examined development and urbanization through a lens of cultural/eco-tourism as a means to understand not only assumed architectural/ecological sustainability, but design linked to social sustainability as well.  This past year I have been freelancing in Mumbai working on 2 publications - one a research document that examines Banganga tank as a way to speak about urban design and a design approach in India and also SPADE - a periodical deliberating architecture and design in India as junior editor and graphic design under the editor Samira Rathod.  Other work this year has included graphic design, furniture and interiors, and writing.
I have received my M.A. from Parsons in 2009 and was part time faculty of the ADHT department working with the Global Issues course from 2009 - 2011.
Prior to India, my design work was with PDBW in Manhattan in understanding new and historical contexts with projects ranging from new design to preservation and restoration in Manhattan.  I am now seeking work in New York, or elsewhere, that enables me to continue honing my skills as a designer, researcher, and educator.
