Hello my name is Karlo De Soto; I'm an architect from the city of Tijuana Mexico. I have 7 years work experience and also hold a masters degree in advanced architecture.
The reason that I would like to be considered for a position in an international office is so I can wide my perception as an architect, I believe that one has to receive and share inputs from a different contexts than the ones we are use to. Most importantly is to have the opportunity to collaborate in a international firm  that works on a wide range scale of projects in various parts of the world, leaving a mark of excellence and forward thinking in architecture. I have had the opportunity to take that first step while studying my master’s degree in Barcelona at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, where I got the opportunity to receive some new input from different architects from all over the world as well as my classmates. Because of that step I'm now a professor at my Alma matter (Instituto Tecnologico de Tijuana) teaching a sustainable design studio, where I’m pushing the students to go beyond what they have learned there and develop different perspectives on how sustainability can be applied depending on the context that one is working on.
