Having worked in a variety of architecture outfits ranging from conservation in southern Mexico to designing laboratories at the National Institutes of Health I have come to value the universal language of architecture and the seemingly infinite possibilites of its application to the diverse environments and cultures all around the globe.
From working on particularly site specific projects such as the conversion of an old Fire Station in Ireland into a Brewery to UMD’s modular globally designed Solar Decathlon 2nd place entry; I now beleive the success of a design not only lies within the most minute details of a project but how it overall functions in the system with which it is placed, whether its a bustling metropolis or tranquil forest.
I’m a big fan of traveling and sketching what I see along the way. As a surfer, whiterwater kayaker, and rower, I can’t stay away from the water for long. I love to experience the many ways one can see this world and look forward to discovering more!
