A sustainable Pier in Huntington Beach, California. Master Project by Silvia Ruiz-Poveda, Scholarship
The idea of create a new prototype for a sustainable Pier in Huntington Beach was born from the analysis of this Surf City position that allows to re-use the natural re-sources the place has. The new design respects the traditional idea of the Piers as the place where everybody meets in the Californian Coast and the relationship with the city through the continuity of the Main Street, his position above the beach and along the Ocean, preserving the permeability in the accesses and the aquatic activities around the Pier.
