I am a registered architect with substantial experience with a range of private and public sector preservation and restoration projects.

My most recent position embraced both the project architect and project manager roles within the architecture division of Ammann and Whitney. The bulk of my recent work has been designing and managing a range of preservation and restoration/upgrade (Landmark and PDC) projects including the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Richmond Health Center in Staten Island, restoration and upgrade design for seven Carnegie-funded public libraries, condition assessments and several re-use programming and planning studies. I also have experience with interior design programming and have recently completed a 10,000SF interior project for an App development company in NYC.

Day-to-day responsibilities involved management of multiple projects from RFP responses, through design development/review, CD’s and construction administration. I have considerable experience generating CD’s, detailing, writing specifications, and managing RFIs and submittals. I am familiar with managing filings with NYC Dept. Of Buildings, Landmarks Preservation Commission and the Public Design Commission and am familiar with the required code and zoning analyses. Most projects require considerable coordination between design disciplines and I am experienced in managing multidisciplinary design teams and their deliverables.

Representing the design team, on a regular basis, at client review meetings, bid issues and kick off meetings was a necessary function of my role.

I have worked for both private and public clients. In my latest position my projects were in the public sector, client agencies include: NYPD, DSNY, NY Public Libraries and DOHMH (all through NYDDC), Port Authority of NY/NJ, and the Army Corp. of Engineers. My previous employment was solely focused on private sector facilities, principally larger scale residential and commercial restoration and conservation projects.
