I worked for an independent contractor who took on a variety of small scale projects which exposed me to many types of design principles. I was placed in charge of the acquisition of materials and basic demolition/construction. The projects mainly consisted of pouring concrete for walkways, foundations, and as the base for putting up fences. The larger scale projects consisted of tearing down a wall and creating an entire addition to a house including the plumbing, electricity, framing etc.

I was part of a tree service that removed high risk trees from roads, parks, and housing. I was placed in charge of removing debris from the site and keeping the line clear from falling debris during the process of removal. I was also placed in charge of the maintenance of equipment such as the chipper, stump grinder, and chainsaws.

I was attending Skagit Valley College and finishing my tuition at Arlington High School simultaneously (Running Start). During my time here i was focused on completing a majority of the GER's required for the architecture program at WSU. I was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa which is an academic club for students who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher during enrollment at the college.
