The project is part of a Design Workshop in Clay (WSTC2), and provides the expansion of the existing hospital, currently not suitable to accommodate the population. The space must accommodate new areas for inpatient treatment, partly private and partly accessible to the public, for this was created a path that gradually leads from triage, the most public, the patient rooms, private. Given the culture of the place and the distance of the hospital from the villages, it has been provided for the areas of shelter and warmth for escorts, entertainment venues and meeting as well as expected. The typological distribution is inspired by the shape of the Tanzanian villages, which were also reflected in the materials andconstruction techniques, exploited in a conscious way to ensure natural lighting and ventilation.
