My name is Nikola Štefanac. I am a qualified Project Architect. I was born in Zagreb and I am a national of Croatia ( EU ). I have just moved to Graz in search of new career opportunities.
Since graduating from University of Zagreb I have been working in Zagreb and Rijeka, Croatia. For four years I have worked in a small, award winning architecture firm where I developed a strong sense of professionalism and ability to manage challenging projects with a high degree of autonomy for someone at this stage of their career. I am organised and reliable, I work well in teams and have a strength in technical development and detail design. I have a proven ability to work well under pressure, to use initiative and to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
I have previously used AutoCAD, Rhino, VisualArq, SketchUp and Vray as well as the full suite of Adobe software and MS Office. I learn new software and procedures quickly and to a high level. I am driven by a genuine personal enthusiasm for architecture which is reflected in my work ethic and dedication to all of the projects that I work on.

I founded a small firm as a tool for my freelance architectural projects. I have collaborated on warehouse reuse concept study, on an office building main design project in Zagreb and I designed small residential houses and apartments. I participated as a project architect in different collaborations with my colleagues and collaborators. I worked on competition projects for kindergarten and primary school in Zagreb. I am collaborating with Croatian conceptual and new media artist Sanja Ivekovic on a monument which is an hommage to Mies van der Rohe's monument for Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. This project is developed during Rijeka - European Capital of Culture 2020.

I started out as a junior architect and drafted current, mostly residential, projects in all phases, from concept to execution. I also made physical scale models. In 2014. I took a role in execution project for hotel Navis in Liburnian riviera where I also coordinated our collaborators and participated in worksite coordinations with clients and contractor. Since then for 3 years i have lead my own projects, first residential, then hospitality, museum and commercial spaces. I have also led and mentored junior coworkers and interns and participated in competitions.

I collaborated on projects of reconstruction of heritage architecture. I developed existing condition complex surveys and 3d models.

I worked as an intern for architect Leo Modrčin who just moved his praxis from New York back to Croatia to become a lecturer in School of Architecture in Zagreb. I worked on competition assignments and small scale residential projects. We also developed experimental models for use in lectures as well as presentation making.
