Twelve projects from across Canada (including one international recipient in Santiago, Chile) have been distinguished with the 2020 Governor General's Medals in Architecture. Presented jointly by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Canada Council for the Arts, the biennial award program highlights outstanding built projects designed by Canadian architects.
"The 2020 Governor General’s Medal in Architecture represents the best in contemporary Canadian architecture," RAIC President John Brown praised the selection. "The projects explore unique aspects of culture, context, and materiality across the vast expanse of our country."
