This week, the design world seems to look to the future, either through late night art or through seminars and talks. Walk around Canary Wharf, studying its civic successes in its mere 28 years, or visit nearby University of Greenwich as it exhibits the works of its Architecture and Landscape Department. This week is also the last of this year's London Festival of Architecture, so it is perhaps fitting that it has a decisively future-thinking atmosphere.

New London Neighbourhood Tour - Canary Wharf | 27 June
Love it or hate it, Canary Wharf is a huge planning success. The transformation of the site to financial hub will be outlined on this tour, including the notable works of architects including Foster + Partners and SOM.

both the V&A and the TATE Modern have some great workshops, talks, and
exhibitions to make your end of week. Join V&A with their focus on the
future, and how imagined worlds could reveal possibilities for tomorrow's
landscapes and influence today's choices. Over the river, TATE will be
celebrating South London's art scene and history, including tying in with art
festival MERGE.
UWACTE – Networking Evening for Women in the industry | 27 June
This networking evening at the end of the London Festival of Architecture, is supported by patron Elliot Wood, and will be launching Urbano Women in Architecture Construction Technology & Engineering (UWACTE). The event is hosted by Urbano's Co-Director, Caroline Brock, and speakers will be women covering everything from BIM to Workplace Well-being.
Postmodernism Now: Politics, Culture, Context | 30 June
This symposium at the Design Museum is not to be missed. The day long programme includes talks from esteemed designers and curators, discussions, and the questioning of kitsch, consumerism, playfulness, and design itself.
Speculative Science: Future and change in architecture | 2 July
Looking at the future of the built environment, this talk will outline how various disciplines, from microbiology to those within the world of design, could reshape the way we live today and tomorrow.
