Silicon Valley is a meticulously researched show [...] and the work spaces that appear on screen are no exception. Production designer Richard Toyon, the man responsible for the visual storytelling, called up friends all over Silicon Valley to get a peek inside the offices of Facebook, Google, Zynga, and others. Security often prevented Toyon from taking pictures inside the buildings, so he made due with mental notes. — fastcodesign.com

The question is why companies like Google and Facebook that help communities in ways of charity, free education, resources and other things, do not want to reveal the concept and design of their buildings? Are they afraid other companies will get as successful as theirs only through the design of their buildings' interior? Or those giants in their industry are afraid that their unique set of offices and rooms will spread around the world, get outdated, and their employees would lose value in their company?
