According to Brash, the administration had a singular “grand urban vision”—one of New York as a competitive hub for international business deeply rooted in neoliberal ideals. With a radically different vision of the city than those of the working class, Professor Brash argued, many New Yorkers failed to fully benefit from the mayor’s projects and in many instances were left behind. — untappedcities.com

Who was left behind? NY was left behind. Bloomberg was the worst plague that ever happened to that city. Worse than aids, crack, and heroin combined. Not to make light of those things, but his type truly had a destructive effect on NY. Not just referring to Bloomberg but to all the Bloomberg types out there. Turned my favorite city (one characterized by the everyday people and the idiosyncratic) into a sterile over priced shitting ground for the 1%.
