If I ever decide to give it all up and start selling Butler Buildings, I won't tell you guys the whole truth either.
Not that I'm comparing Butler Buildings and RMJM. But sometimes people want to make changes without having to explain their motives to the entire world.
Artists the world over will be relieved to hear that in the end Mr Alsop did not decide to spoil the world of the arts with his daubs. Architects on the other hand will rue a missed opportunity to get rid of such an awful designer despite his claims to the contrary and his constant judgements on his contemporaries. Considering the countless number of turds he's produced over the years, we'd all be better off if this arrogant hack had indeed decided to retire...
man...holy hatred...a few years ago i started to intentionally try to look at architecture in a more positive, less critic way...in alsop's case, i enjoy the creativity in his work as a colorful change of pace...
what is it with people in this profession always eager to hammer each other down...damn...
wish i could pose like will alsop. few of us are talented enough to fake things so well.
i been to a few of his buildings. they were well above average in quality. his master plans are interesting too. lots to be learned from will alsop and company if you an get past what the work looks ike (not always easy, to be fair)

Poor guy who bought his company couple of years ago.. Bad decision.
wish he would stay retired. it would save us from such horrible work they put out.

Exactly, simples. What's wrong with having some playfulness in the built world?
Also, Jack Klompus, I saw your namesake on TV last night, I never knew where the name came from.
