This type of design is great. Extremely visual and thought provoking. However...No one ever seems to show how a human being actually walks around and uses the spaces (home, work, etc --actually do people even need to work in a society like this? Can't one just plug in to eat and dream?) Sounds great. Sign me up.
I smell bullshit.
sooo cool. It is perfect Maya-neering.
maybe i should take biomorphic biosphere out of this equation. i feel literal expectations are rising again.
what a waste of time...honestly...
this kind of bullshit is just polluting the student's minds...give me a break.
Vapid masterbation. I hope I die in the "Big One of 2032" so I don't have to live in the city-sized venus fly-trap of Chlorophilia. I'm perfectly happy with regular bricks and stucco versus monstera vegetation walls, thank you.
lo tech vs hi tech; my mind is polluted
I love the font used on the biomorphic biosphere sheets.
funny how the future looks so 1990's Hernan Diaz Alonso/Greg Lynn
What a relief I was worried architects would not be arrogant and irrelevant in the future. I am glad that this work reminds you of other great architects...(no disrespect to GL who should not be mentioned in such a poor context). BTW you can do more dynamic work in Revit now, so if your going to use Maya please take a Xerofart class and put some effort into it. For example if you had used the hypergraph in Maya properly your subdivision surfaces would have blended in the video background seamlessly. But then again you are a Chlorofil not an Xerofart.
Every person who has had to pay for architecture school should get a tax rebate for having been subjected to this...

Bwaaaa?
There's just so much fail here, where does one start?
someone definitely had hernan for studio last year.
Hernan Diaz Alonso...can someone tell me WHY people still listen to this kind of....thing....?
Why do students have to listen to this kind of approach?
Honestly...
Once I was walking in the street here in L.A. and I saw him in a gas station.
He was wearing black...a black hat also...dark sunglasses...driving a black porsche. Everything was just so "black", and it was just 7:30 in the morning...
I hated myself so much for being part of the same design community of that individual.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
nice storytelling
Dumb on so many levels.
epic
fail.
...so glad I went to SCI-Arc when it had soul and the bullshit was kept to a minimum....
The irony is the homogeniety of the structures... Irvine cookie cutter boxes that have been "organically grown" with no sense of place, individuality, etc.
Please leave Maya for the movie industry....this shit is so old and repetitive...
Allow the Talking heads do my answerin' for me:
"There was a factory
Now there are mountains and rivers
you got it, you got it
We caught a rattlesnake
Now we got something for dinner
we got it, we got it
There was a shopping mall
Now it's all covered with flowers
you've got it, you've got it
If this is paradise
I wish I had a lawnmower"
MLM - I enjoyed your retort. Nice.
Hey, at least we'll have flying cars (couldn't keep out the flying car, could you?)
